Rehearsing Shakespeare

I’m working with my Shakespeare Saturday Morning work group to develop exercises that will allow active and relational text work in rehearsal. I have found that too much table work ends up either boring people or putting them into intellectual and academic mode, which is great for discussions, but will not help any actor actually speak the text full tilt.

As we find exercises that work, I will try to document them in the blog, and link them below.

Note that most of these exercises will require a lot more prep work from the director than more traditional methods. You’ve been warned.
